Dr. Ken McGuffey has over 35 years of service to the dairy industry. He received the Ph. D in dairy cattle nutrition from Michigan State University in 1975. He served on faculty at South Dakota State University before joining Eli Lilly and Company in 1980 as scientist responsible for initiating dairy cattle research at Elanco Animal Health, a division of Lilly. Dr. McGuffey later identified key role of ration composition on cow response to monensin.  He retired from Elanco in 2004 and remains active in dairy industry as a consultant. He served as a Director of the American Dairy Science Association and currently is President. He lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with wife, Pat.
