Dr. Hilde van Meirhaeghe

Born in Ghent Belgium 1958, graduated in 1982 Doctor in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ghent.

Started to work as general practitioner in RSA, worked in several European and African countries with different animal species.

Joined DGZ-Flanders (Animal Health Services- Flanders) in 2007 as program officer for Poultry Health. Involved in study projects on hygiene, food safety and health issues in  partnership with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Ghent and the Institute for Research in Agriculture and Fisheries  ILVO.

Currently working as Poultry Consultant for Vetworks, a group of poultry veterinarians giving technical support to the pharmaceutical industry in poultry health worldwide.

Academic adviser of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – University of Ghent, Belgium- Department of Virology, Parasitology and Immunology.
