About GFFC

The Global Feed & Food Congresses (GFFC) are the highlight on the International Feed and Food scene rotating around the world every third year. The event is organised by the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) with technical support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and hosted by a hosting National Feed Association.

The 1st and the 2nd GFFC were organised by IFIF, with technical support from the FAO and hosted by the Brazilian Feed Association (SINDIRACOES) in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2005 and 2007, respectively. The 3rd GFFC was organised in 2010 by IFIF, with technical assistance from the FAO and hosted by the Mexican Feed Association (CONAFAB) in Cancun, Mexico.

In April 2013, the South African Animal Feed Manufacturers Association (AFMA) has the honour to host this prestigious 4th GFFC in partnership with IFIF and FAO, which will be the first ever in Africa.

This event furthermore coincides with the normal tri-annual timeslot of the AFMA Forum hosted at SUN CITY and it was decided to host the AFMA Forum and the 4th GFFC as a back-to-back Congress during 8 – 12 April 2013, at the Sun City Conference Centre. By doing this we strive to attract 500-plus delegates across the globe during this week. AFMA and the GFFC organizing committee will give delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and relevant industries and industry roleplayers the maximum exposure to the South African feed and food industries. The GFFC will also address numerous leading issues in the global feed, food and related industries.
