Mr Graham Cooper

Graham Cooper joined the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC) as Executive Director in 2008. In this position, he leads the government and public affairs programs, and has overall responsibility for the association’s business and financial activities. He is ANAC’s representative to the International Feed Industry Federation and is a member of the federation’s policy committee.

Much of Graham Cooper’s mandate stems from Vision 2011, ANAC’s five-year strategic plan, which calls for modernization of the feed industry’s regulatory framework, enhancement of the business environmentand sustained growth in value to members. Following the start of industry-government dialogue on regulatory renewal in 2012, he was appointed to the steering group coordinating the development of a new Canadian feeds regulation.

Prior to joining ANAC, Graham Cooper was senior vice president of the Canadian Trucking Alliance, the national trade association of the trucking industry. In this position he was the industry’s lead representative in dealings with federal, provincial and state governments in Canada and the United States on a wide range of policy and regulatory issues. He was also the association’s chief financial officer.

He had earlier gained technical and management experience in accounting, finance and government affairs in the hospitality, manufacturing and petroleum industries in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.

Graham Cooper is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and also holds the Certified General Accountantdesignation.
