Mr Negatu is the Managing Partner for Ernst & Young in Ethiopia and Head of Transaction Advisory Services for Eastern Africa. His clients include very prominent investors from Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., the United States and other countries who have been advised on investments worth billions of dollars. Mr Negatu recently gave an insightful speech at the U.S. – Saudi Business Forum in Atlanta highlighting Saudi King Abdulla’s foreign agricultural initiative to invest in African agricultural by illustrating the large scale agro-investment of one of his clients, Sheik Mohammed Al-Amoudi of Saudi Arabia, who is ranked amongst the top 65 richest people in the world by Forbes, at $13.6 billion.
In addition to agriculture investments, Mr Negatu has extensive global and African experience advising clients in financial services, manufacturing, telecoms and airlines. He recently led a high powered Mergers & Acquisition team for one of the biggest UK multinationals in its largest acquisition ever in Africa. Mr Negatu has lived in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina and Saudi Arabia. He has been featured on CNN, BBC, CNBC, SABC and by many other global media organizations. He completed Harvard Business School’s LSE program and received his degree in business administration from Howard University, Washington, D.C. and is a U.S. CPA.
